PC Volume Control With RF Remote
Here is another PC volume control, where an Arduino Pro Micro acting as a media control device.
A knob controls the volume, pressing toggles mute. Nothing new here.
This project adds a 433 MHz RF Remote control.
Features
Rough Schematic Diagram
The wiring is pretty simple and all wired point-to-point with 28ga wire.

Operation
To pair the RF remote with the PC volume control:
The LED will normally flash when receiving RF commands.
There are a couple of 433 MHz receiver models available.
The tuned coil model has lousy range.
The crystal controlled model is the one you want.
This is a very common RF remote control, normally for use with LEDs.
The only volume controls we have is up, down, and mute.
So the + and - buttons (speed, mode, color, bright) control the volume.
All the other buttons just toggle mute.

Exterior
The design is suitable for mounting under the desk with double sided tape.
Interior
When it's completed and tested the bottom is glued on permanently.
